12-9-20 Trainerize 30 Clients in 30 Days- Day 1: Define Your Business Niche

I’m a certified personal trainer now, with a business building virtual training programs for clients to fit their individual goals, equipment, schedules, etc. I keep a group of clients on Facebook for most of our communication, and I just had my first group coaching Zoom call.

Define my business niche:

I’m qualified to build programs for a large variety of fitness goals, including general health and weight loss, bodybuilding and strength building, stability and injury prevention, and supplemental workouts for athletes,. I can build programs for home or gym, for a variety of fitness levels.

My ideal client is someone who is self-driven and willing to ask questions and take video of themselves performing an exercise. Because I’m a virtual coach, the only way I can help people is if they keep me up to date. I will reach out through personal communication and also on the FB group, but it’s up to the client to take advantage of having a coach. They can be a beginner or more advanced, but they have to be ok with self scheduling and sticking to a program on their own time.

Those who I’m not qualified or interested in training: people who don’t like to, or don’t want to exercise or build new habits. High level competitive athletes (I have very little experience with any sports besides running and power lifting). People with health issues that prevent them from being able to perform exercise safely.
